Knoxville Chiropractor Answers Call to Preach the Gospel in India

, (PressExposure) April 28, 2009 -- The heart of India is calling, and international evangelist and author Dr. Pete Sulack will once again answer that call as he takes a Matthew 10 International Ministries team to Narsapur, a city of 60,000 in southern India, for a series of gospel crusades May 4th through 12th.

"We are excited about this awesome opportunity to take the message of salvation, healing, and deliverance to the people of India," said Dr. Pete, a chiropractor from Knoxville, Tennessee who has a personal vision to see 100 million people come to Christ over the next several years. "Our last crusade was phenomenally successful, and we are expecting the same blessing from God for this trip."

In 2007 Dr. Pete took a team to the southeastern Indian communities of Warangal and Nellore, where well over 100,000 individuals made commitments to Christ. In his six India crusades during the last three years, Dr. Pete estimates that over two million individuals have heard the message of the gospel. "People are hungry for a touch from God, and when we preach the simple message of His love for them, they respond," he said.

In addition to gospel crusades, Dr. Pete and Matthew 10 have set up an ongoing ministry that reaches out to widows in key communities in India. "Widows are among the most vulnerable and shunned people in all of India," explained Dr. Pete, "and we take Christ's words literally, that when we reach out to these individuals who seem so insignificant to the eyes of the world, we are really reaching out and ministering to Christ Himself."

During this trip, Dr. Pete and his team will reach out to an estimated 1,500 or more widows in Narsapur, supplying them with food and clothing, along with encouragement to become all that God has called them to be. "Our message to these widows is that they are precious in God's sight and He has an important role for them," said Alicia Eason, one of the 19 team members who will accompany Dr. Pete on this crusade. "It is so important to get this across to them because widows in India are often considered a disgrace to their families, and they really struggle with a sense of worthlessness. We want to show them how valuable they are in God's sight."

Dr. Pete noted that India is one of the most fruitful countries for sharing the gospel. "With a population of over 1.15 billion people in India alone, God has sent us into a rich and rewarding field of harvest," he said. "We are believing for no less that 100 million individuals coming to faith in Christ because we have answered God's call."
