Bristol, United Kingdom (PressExposure) August 05, 2009 -- Many SMEs say legal advice needs to become more accessible and affordable. Law Donut is a new free resource thatâs aiming to make that happen. Published by BHP Information Solutions, Law Donut is a free website that will provide comprehensive legal information for UK SMEs.
Packed with over 1300 FAQs and 100 toolkits, Law Donut has been designed to serve business owners and managers who need to get a solid understanding of the issues and how to navigate them, but who arenât at the stage of wanting to pay for individual legal advice.
âWeâve done a lot of research in the market and what SMEâs are telling us is that they want and need more information, but they canât necessarily afford to pay a lawyer to tell them,â says Anthony Mullinder, Business Development Executive at BHP Information Solutions. âWeâve designed Law Donut to meet that need. Itâs all about providing reliable and easy-to-follow information so SME owners and managers can be better informed.â
While it might seem like competition for lawyers, the publishers say they have received positive interest from law firms who say Law Donut is filling a gap in the market.
âLawyers recognise that their clients will still need tailored advice, and itâs in their interests for their clients to be better informed about business law at a general level. In fact many lawyers are interested in making Law Donutâs information available to their clients as a way to add value and promote their areas of expertise.â Law Donut launches on 18 August.
