Saint John, New Brunswick, New Brunswick Canada (PressExposure) September 15, 2011 -- AnyWare Group, a leading supplier of healthcare portals, today announced the development of a diabetes risk assessment for people that want to understand their risks related to Type 2 diabetes. The assessment was developed in conjunction with Theresa Garnero, an award winning diabetes educator and author, for use by Dance Out Diabetes.
Dance Out Diabetes' mission is to prevent and manage diabetes through dance and education. The assessment tool allows people to understand their overall risk for diabetes as well as their specific risk factors so that they can take the proper steps towards improving wellness and treatment if required.
The AnyWare Group Patient Portal allows us to track health metrics and educate patients in a consistent and secure fashion. The new diabetes assessment module identifies those at-risk for, or with the disease, and evaluates our program's effectiveness." Said Theresa Garnero, APRN, BC-ADM, MSN, CDE and Dance Out Diabetes Founder and CEO.
"We are excited to release this new capability as an extension of our ROAM Patient Portal." stated Robert Lalonde, CEO of AnyWare Group. "Our portal has traditionally focused on helping patients and providers manage chronic diseases, including diabetes. A risk assessment moves our capabilities to pre-diagnosis, allowing for patients to identify and understand their own risk factors. This assessment can potentially take patients off the track to a chronic disease and put them on the road to improved wellness."
