The First Responder Awareness Level course has been reviewed and approved by OSHA and HAZWOPER. The course includes various topics ranging from OSHA Standards, OCH Act, Hazard Communication Standards and Hazardous Waste Operation and emergency response. It teaches the various ways to identify potential hazards, biological hazards, environmental hazards, analysis of hazards and safety measures taken to protect oneself. The site characterization segment of this course includes off site characterization, on site review, documentation and hazardous material evaluation. The First Responder Awareness Level Course also teaches site control, site protection and site work zone.
The entire course has been approved for a duration of 4 hours. This means you can learn all the basics in a very short time. The course fee is also minimal. Module quizzes are provided to the students. These quizzes require a minimum score of 70% to move on to the next module. The final exam has be to be cleared, again, with a minimum of 70%. if failed in the first attempt, students can attempt 3 more times.
