Local Entrepreneur Releases First Book

Dallas, Texas (PressExposure) November 03, 2008 -- After conducting countless workshops on various topics and working with managers of all levels, Cassandra Washington, owner and president of Exceed Resources, Inc. has organized her knowledge and experiences into a "how to" book, "How to Manage Unacceptable Employee Behavior."

Offering recommendations and tools to help front-line managers and supervisors deal with problem employees, the book is a practical guide outlining key actions necessary to convert problem behavior into productive behavior. Actions range from identifying the root cause of the problem to communicating with the employee, documenting steps, or termination.

"In today's business world, productivity and profit margin are the bottom line results," says Washington. "This book outlines essential skills to put an end to unproductive behavior and to improve productivity of the entire team." How to Manage Unacceptable Employee Behavior consists of 10 chapters, each concluding with a helpful checkpoint exercise with principles that managers can apply to their own situations.

Washington, an educator, trainer, consultant, and entrepreneur has trained and coached hundreds of individuals. Possessing a Bachelor's degree in Management and Human Resources from The Ohio State University, she is a Myers-Briggs qualified instructor and has certificates in organizational development, instructional design, and group facilitation. She has more than ten years of experience from positions she has held with Central and South West, Frontline Group Telecommunications, including consulting with Cox Communications, SBC, Bell Canada, and Qwest Communications.

An Oklahoma native and current Texas resident, Washington, since 2001 has owned and operated Exceed Resources, Inc., a training firm offering business seminars, curriculum design, and personal development coaching. Describing Exceed Resources as bringing big company know-how to small and mid-sized companies, she says Exceed understands that small organizations face the same people management challenges as large organizations, yet often do not have the same depth of expertise or resources to address them. Exceed provides the same quality training solutions used in large companies to small companies at a cost that is affordable and in a time frame that doesn't set back production -- giving small companies what they need to stay competitive.

Published by SkillPath Publications, a division of The Graceland College Center for Professional Development and Lifelong Learning, Inc., "How to Manage Unacceptable Employee Behavior" is available for purchase on the Exceed Resources website.
