Lots of Get Up And Go In The Eighties

Port Vila, Vanuatu (PressExposure) September 28, 2009 -- In America, an 84 year-old woman has hit the headlines through her fourth time walk up the aisle. In a recent interview she revealed her first husband was a banker. She first married in her 20's. Her second husband, in her 40's, was a circus ringmaster and her third husband in her 60's, was a preacher. Now in her mid 80's, she has married a funeral director.

With the words from a 1955 Elvis Presley song, 'Blue Suede Shoes 'she joked with the interviewer, "I married one for the money.... two for the show.... three to get ready..... and four to go"!

In London, an 84 year old billionaire divorced his 23 year-old wife for a younger 22 year-old design. Joe Hardy and Kristin Georgi, a manicurist, were married only 107 days.

Georgi received many expensive gifts during the marriage, including an $80,000 Porsche, outrageously expensive shoes, handbags and designer clothes. "He would tell me, 'If you see something you like, get four or five of them'. I couldn't do that", Georgi said.

"When you climb on your own jet for the 10th time in four days -- Europe was crazy -- and we were in each place for a day and a half", Georgi said. Hardy's speed of life was too fast for Georgi, who said Hardy was not what she had hoped for.

The couple divorced through irreconcilable differences. "He just wanted to keep on the go", Georgi said. She had hoped the 84 year-old would ‘settle down’. Georgi was working at Hardy’s Nemacolin Woodlands Resort spa when the couple met.

While the pre-nuptial agreement limited Georgi’s post-marriage payout, she feels she has been well compensated by the size of the divorce settlement.

Georgi plans to disclose in her book whether the marriage was consummated or not. Hardy was romantically linked to another 22 year-old, Dunbar’s Danielle Golden immediately following the divorce.
