, London United Kingdom (PressExposure) August 05, 2008 -- In a move to further strengthen its Area Management Team, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) has implemented changes to its North American organization; replacing its regional structure with an area-wide Product Management Group.
Under two new Vice Presidents, MOL has established two area-wide sales and customer service functions that are responsible for managing and directing the company's sales and customer service activities throughout North America. Under their direction, MOL will streamline business processes and improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Paul McClintock - Vice President North America Sales: formerly Regional Vice President for the Southeast Region, McClintock is now responsible for the planning and leadership of all North American sales activities.
Steve Ryan - Vice President North America Customer Service: formerly Regional Vice President for the Midwest Region, as VP of Customer Service, Ryan will now plan and direct all customer service activities, including export booking, import cargo delivery, documentation and U.S. Customs compliance.
Dennis Sheehan - Vice President Atlantic Services, Jim Galligan - Vice President Pacific Services: formerly the Regional Vice Presidents for the Northeast and West Coast Regions respectively, Dennis Sheehan and Jim Galligan will direct the activities of the North America service offices. Each will be responsible for customer and vendor relations, service performance, security, and key administrative functions.
In addition, MOL has expanded its Area Operations Group by creating new specialised units; two Coastal Logistics Teams responsible for optimising asset utilisation, and an Area Motor Carrier Operations Group responsible for traffic management, purchasing, and dispatch. Each will report to Dick Craig, Vice President of Area Operations.
