Kingwood, TX (PressExposure) February 22, 2011 -- On Friday, February 18, 2011, Leroy Thomas and the Zydeco Roadrunners performed for the public gathered at Kings Harbor to celebrate Kingwood's own version of Mardi Gras. This was the latest in the continuing free concert series sponsored by Keller Williams Realty Northeast.
Leroy Thomas is widely considered to be one of the top accordian players in the United States, earning him the monicker of "Jewel of the Bayou". When Thomas is partnered with the Zydeco Roadrunners, you are hard-pressed to sit still in your seat with their unique take on traditional zydeco music. In addition to Zydeco, Thomas performed R&B, Blues, Cajun and Country music in his own funky and innovative way.
The guest charity for the evening's concert was Humble Area Assistance Ministeries, a local non-profit dedicating to providing necessary social services in the Humble area. They also help families with basic needs as well as helping them become self-sufficient, productive members of the community. All proceeds from food sold at the event went directly to Humble Area Assistance Ministries.
We welcome everyone to come back next month for another great evening of family fun at Kings Harbor in the continuing Keller Williams Realty Northeast's free concert series.
