Hawthorne, CA (PressExposure) December 12, 2009 -- Well-publicized changes in construction and service/repair markets have inspired a unique response from many leaders in the plumbing supplies industry: namely, the introduction of private label product lines. Everywhere service providers turn, everything from the largest sewer snakes to the smallest drain tools are popping up under brands named for their distributors.
For example, leading plumbing supplies distributor J.M. McKinney Co. recently launched its own private label line of drain tools and other plumbing accessories. The new products, to be sold in addition to the brands already available from the company, will join the J.M. McKinney inventory manufactured by RIDGID, Spartan, Ken-Way and other established industry brands.
The company acknowledges that the move is a strategic method of meeting consumer demand. According to company representative John McKinney, âDeveloping our own product line is our way of matching changing market needs. It enables us to continue offering competitive pricing on plumbing supplies like drain tools, sewer cleaners, and other mechanisms.â
McKinney has noted that others in his industry have begun offering a private label line of plumbing supplies and drain tools; however, he believes that J.M. McKinneyâs 60-year, family- owned tradition of quality products and outstanding service are what sets his company apart.
