Marketing Programs Add Environics Analytics ENVISION Training

Toronto, Canada (PressExposure) June 17, 2013 -- Centennial College, in partnership with the marketing services and data analytics company Environics Analytics (EA), is incorporating EA's ENVISION micromarketing software into its marketing programs to give students a distinctive edge in the skills they can offer employers.

Through ENVISION training, Centennial marketing students will acquire an in-depth understanding of how to develop powerful, data-driven analysis for geography- and segment-based micromarketing intelligence about consumers and target markets. These skills will position students to help businesses extract valuable insights from the deep reservoir of statistical data, leading to better marketing decisions.

"Centennial students will be the first in Canada to graduate from a marketing program that includes a set of learning outcomes designed around ENVISION," says Professor Danica Lavoie of Centennial's School of Business. "Environics Analytics' ENVISION training will inform a new generation of marketing professionals who can provide the analytics skills Canada's corporations are keen to employ."

Initially, ENVISION training will be incorporated in the college's two- and three-year marketing programs, as well as Centennial's unique graduate certificate program in marketing research and analytics. Students will graduate with both a college diploma and an ENVISION training certificate.

"ENVISION is used by organizations to find their most promising prospects and develop marketing campaigns at the national, regional and local levels," says Rupen Seoni, EA's Vice President and Practice Leader. "This program is a great example of professional educators listening to the needs of the market and helping students graduate with skills that will be in demand for many years to come."

Established in 2003, Environics Analytics has quickly grown to become Canada's premier marketing and analytical services company. The Toronto-based firm employs the most experienced geodemographers, modelling statisticians and marketing experts in Canada. To sample ENVISION's PRIZM C2 segmentation system, which classifies Canadians into 66 lifestyle types.

The licensing agreement between Centennial College and Environics Analytics will be reflected in curriculum changes to Centennial's marketing programs this coming fall and winter.
