Wilmington, Delaware (PressExposure) February 27, 2013 -- This month, McNeill Designs for Brighter Minds and Success Won't Wait will celebrate the 7-year anniversary of working together to eradicate illiteracy. The innovative partnership between the toy and game development firm and the literacy group began in 2006, when McNeill Designs' principles committed themselves to using the company's success to help support important charitable causes.
Since 2006, McNeill Designs has donated a portion of sales of the award-winning You've Been Sentenced! word game to Success Won't Wait. Success Won't Wait is a 501c3 non-profit organization that provides free books to organizations, schools and programs nationwide.
Founded in 2002, Success Won't Wait is a Delaware-based organization that encourages reading by providing materials to those who need them most. Success Won't Wait volunteers organize book drives by partnering with schools and universities, independent groups and organizations, and a variety of businesses, calling on residents to donate brand new and gently used books for redistribution. To date, dozens of book drives have been held and over 450,000 books have been collected.
"Because the You've been Sentenced! word game is inherently an educational game (as well as lots of fun), we wanted to partner with a well-established organization that focused on reading and literacy as our beneficiary," says McNeill Designs' CEO Donald McNeill.
Founded in 2004, McNeill Designs for Brighter Minds launched into this marketplace with a series of innovative board, card, and party games including its flagship product, the You've been Sentenced! word game. The game has consistently been recognized by both the toy and game industry, as well as the education community, receiving over 25 national awards and praise from industry insiders.
Following up its success with You've been Sentenced, McNeill Designs' added numerous You've been Sentenced! themed add-on decks, as well as the Country Music Edition to its roster of products.
