Kingwood, TX (PressExposure) February 22, 2011 -- Do you have a green thumb or just love looking at beautiful flowers? Whichever category you fall into, the Mercer Arboretum is the perfect place to enjoy nature in all it's glory. On the third Saturday of every month, the arboretum offers a Public Garden Tour to the public from 9am to 10:30am. The tours are available through May 2011.
Every month, a Mercer Arboretum staff member will be available to take you on a tour of a different portion of the botanical gardens to discuss the plants that are coming to bloom at the time of the tour. After each tour (from 10:30am to 12pm), a slideshow presentation is open to the public to show anyone interested how much fun it can be to volunteer at the gardens.
The arboretum's tour is absolutely free to anyone who is interested. It's a great way to get new ideas on what to do with your own garden. If you are considering selling your Kingwood home in the future or just want to spruce up your curb appeal a little, the Public Garden Tour is the perfect place to see what you can do and how to get it done.
The Mercer Arboreteum is located just a few short minutes from Kingwood at 22306 Aldine Westfield Road in Houston.
