Mexican Retirement Lifestyle - Bowling in Playa del Carmen

Playa Del Carmen, Mexico (PressExposure) October 26, 2010 -- Two really important parts of a Mexican retirement lifestyle are the beach and the warm weather, but in a place like Playa del Carmen, retirees can enjoy many other activities as well. Being well aware of this fact, the developers of La Escondida, a Mexican retirement community currently in early construction phases, have a chosen a location next to one of the city's new malls. The most recent news concerning this mall is that a new bowling alley is now underway.

The new bowling alley is in a separate building, so it will be large with plenty of lanes. At the same time, it is only a few meters away from one of the main mall entrances. This will be the first in Playa del Carmen; until now, residents have had to drive to Cancun, an hour away, to enjoy a game bowling.

Besides benefiting Playa del Carmen on the whole, it will help consolidate this mall as one of the key places for convenience and entertainment. The mall is already home to a large screen movie theaters, which plays most movies in English. A number of little cafes and fast food restaurants also make visits to this same mall a convenient choice for visitors.

The mall offers a large Walmart-style supermarket (which also has home grocery delivery,) a club store like Costco, an Office Depot and a variety of smaller shops, specializing in items such as furniture, shoes and sports. There are also 3 banks, including a Scotiabank.

Conveniently, the bowling alley is located at the end of the mall closest La Escondida. The bowling alley, like the mall, will be within comfortable walking distance from this new gated boutique community, helping to offer an active lifestyle to residents.

The choice of location next to the mall is part of a number of features designed to offer access to the retirement lifestyle of Playa del Carmen in the most convenient way possible. One series of features focuses on convenience and enjoyment on a day to day basis within or near to the gated community itself. These include pools, a fitness center, planned events, and the location next to the mall.

The other set of features focuses on making the activities and amenities of Playa del Carmen as accessible as possible. These features include scheduled in-town transportation, a concierge, on-site access to tour services, front-door drop off and pick up, and luggage handling.

The new bowling alley will be an excellent addition to these features, coinciding with the lifestyle which La Escondida will offer.
