Playa Del Carmen, Mexico (PressExposure) November 24, 2010 -- In early November, 2010, a new directly flight from the island of Cozumel to Chicago was announced. The new flight, and others like it, are expected to have indirect benefits for Mexico land owners on the island.
One of the key benefits of most thriving Mexico real estate areas is the fast, easy and affordable transportation possibilities to the United States or Canada. This in turn opens opportunities for residents of the areas with flight connections to invest in property and easily make trips to enjoy the property, or oversee investment projects.
In the case of Cozumel real estate this is especially important, since Cozumel is an island. While the trip to the mainland and to the Cancun international airport (one of Mexico's busiest) is relatively short, the number of flights direct to the island has also been increasing with an increasing amount of tourism and a growing expat community.
American Airlines will be offering the new flight from Chicago to Cozumel. The new flight was set up specifically to meet demand from vacationers residents from the Midwest, who seek warmer climates during the winter season, as well as to promote the island in that area.
The flight is expected to draw, along with increased tourism, further investment to the island, which will benefit residents by providing funds for expanded infrastructure and new services, as well as new activity options. The creation of the new flight option will be followed up with promotion through tour operators and airline management companies.
The flight will be available for use as of February 12, 2011, and will operate seasonally to begin with, until April 2. The flight will restart earlier the next winter season, offering service from November 2011.
In the case of Cozumel land, specifically, the new flight will allow buyers from the Midwest to invest in a lot, and begin a construction project. The direct flight, during its seasonal operation, will allow owners to make easier, frequent trips to oversee their construction project.
Along with proposals for a new ferry connection, and affordable direct flights to various other parts of the Yucatan Peninsula, Cozumel continues to develop a broad transportation network, which will offer increasing convenience to real estate owners.
