Playa Del Carmen, Mexico (PressExposure) December 11, 2009 -- TOPMexicoRealEstate.com a web site and network of "certified professionals that specialize in guiding new buyers through the Mexican purchasing process" has recently made an innovative step forward in internet real estate listing by including Google's "Street View" option in its listing previews for Mexico Property buyers to view not only the the Mexico Home or condo they are interested in, but to take a "virtual walk through" of the neighbourhood.
Starting in 2007, Google maps started including a 360º panoramic view on street level, where users can click on other parts of the street to take a "virtual walk" and take a look at another part of the street; the tool is called "Street View." At first only a few cities in the U.S. were included, but many cities in the U.S., Canada, Europe and some other parts of the world were soon included. In mid-November 2009, Google "Street View" was expanded to Mexico for the first time, offering views of Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico City, Guadalajara, Puebla and Monterrey, which are currently available for self-guided virtual tours. User posted pictures from Google Maps can also be viewed, and appear in the top-right corner as users approach the location of that picture.
TOPMexicoRealEstate.com has applied this powerful tool in a very innovative and helpful way in the real estate industry. The website has already integrated Google maps into its listings so buyers can see the exact location of a Mexico Condo, home or lot, even zooming with Satellite View to get a more detailed view from above. Now, below the map or satellite view, which is integrated into the detailed property information page, the "Street View" also automatically appears for listings in cities where Google has made the service available.
To access this tool, buyers select the "Mexico Listings" tab at the top of the main page age http://www.topmexicorealestate.com. When buyers find a property that looks interesting, they click on the picture or the "Listing Preview" option to see a more detailed listing and various pictures of the property. The "Street View" appears at the bottom of the page, ready to use, viewing the property from the outside and the neighbourhood.
This new use of the "Street View" will give an advantage to Mexico property buyers, allowing them not only to select properties from pictures of the building, but also to get a feel for the community's appearance and atmosphere, seeing what's around the building, how close stores, restaurants, etc. are and generally getting somewhat of a feel for the neighbourhood. This is especially convenient for non-Mexican buyers who are starting their property search from back home, and can get a feel for the neighbourhood on a first internet browse before taking the trip down to visit in person.
