Models Walk a New Runway, Direct From the London Underground!

Norwich, United Kingdom (PressExposure) September 14, 2009 -- The unusual fashion show took place on three underground trains between Tottenham Court Road and Marble Arch, directly below Oxford Street, on Monday 7th September 2009. Although the travellers seemed a little confused by the presence of the models, overall they responded positively. The models were wearing this season's hot designs from high street stores such as House of Fraser, Marks & Spencer and Selfridges.

The week-long event was organised by New West End Company and also featured promotions, champagne receptions and DJ sets.

"This is the first time ever that a fashion week has been made so accessible to the public," commented Laura Ramos, communication manager. "Fashion week shows are normally reserved for the fashion elite but by creating a show on a shopper-heavy tube, we gave everyone the chance to grab a slice of our 'fashion week' action."

Let's hope the models didn't have too much trouble keeping their balance on the rocky underground journey!
