Moose Jaw, Canada (PressExposure) July 07, 2010 -- With the 2010/2011 season promising to be an exciting one at the Moose Jaw Civic Centre, the Moose Jaw Generals Midget AAA Hockey Club is happy to announce that they have launched a new website.
Fans can visit mjgenerals.ca for all of the latest news, scores, roster updates and information surrounding the hockey club. With the 2011 TELUS Cup Regional Qualifier also set to be played in Moose Jaw, the new website will provide important ticket and event information for fans across Central Canada.
The Generals are excited to begin the 2010 season, with young stars like Carter Hansen set for their Midget debuts. Hansen was the first round draft pick of the Western Hockey League's Moose Jaw Warriors, and will tone his game under the direction of head coach Ray Wareham.
Wareham, the 2004-2005 SMAAAHL Coach of the Year, had brought with him a tradition of rich history. Since taking over behind the bench, the Generals (formerly the AAA Warriors) have seen alum's Matt Delahey and Teigan Zahn make their way to the National Hockey League.
WHL standouts such as Brock Montgomery, Ryan Murray and Carter Smith have also played their Midget AAA Hockey at the Civic Centre. The Generals, renamed from the AAA Warriors in the spring of 2010, were named in honour of the former Moose Jaw senior men's team of the same name who won the 1984-85 Hardy Cup - the national senior "AA" ice hockey championship.
The AAAs are also going back to the Generals old jerseys that feature a red, white and blue and star motif of the old Washington Capitals jerseys. Moose Jaw will open the 2010 regular season at home on September 25, when the Swift Current Legionnaires visit for a 1:30PM start.
Fans looking to purchase tickets can do so now. The Moose Jaw Generals are offering 22-ticket flex packs for only $3.64 per game.
