Seattle, WA (PressExposure) August 11, 2010 -- Motion Boardshop (MOBO) announces their new online video contest "Silverfish YouTube Challenge," where longboard skateboarders can share their love of gnar and epic hills. Contestants have the chance to win a Rayne Killswitch longboard complete with Surf Rodz precision trucks and wheels of choice. If that wasn't enough the winner also wins bearings, a new helmet and Landyachtz slide gloves. All together, the package is valued at $600.
To win, contestants must create a video that expresses longboarding through videos, photos and animation. The best videos will be the ones that show where you ride, who you ride with, what you ride, and the reason you love longboarding. Entries must be uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo. The embed code must be emailed to contest@motionboardshop.com before August 31st at midnight. This contest is open to longboarders from any country, not just the USA.
The top video will be the one that receives the most votes from viewers all over the world. All videos will be posted to MOBO's website and blog to be viewed and voted on. "We're not looking for the next Adam Colton," Jason Clack, owner of Motion Boardshop said. "We just want to see real skaters out there enjoying what they love most - riding the concrete wave."
MOBO has built a strong following through uploading videos on YouTube. Their most popular video on YouTube, Downhill Longboard Deck, has over 47,000 views.
