Concord, California (PressExposure) March 16, 2013 -- Mount Diablo Adult Education Center, a leading provider of lifelong learning opportunities for adults of all ages and abilities, is pleased to announce a new upcoming course in their Life Learning Department: Entrepreneurship Bootcamp.
This ten week course aims to help existing and/or aspiring entrepreneurs identify skills, talents and develop the mental outlook needed to create and sustain both a start-up business and an existing business. Topics include idea generation, new product/service development, industry research, competitive analysis, business and marketing plan development and an examination of strategic adjustments to the business model for continued success.
Given the longstanding debate concerning whether entrepreneurship can be taught, course instructor, Catherine Delcin gave her view on the highly contested issue:
"The innate spirit of entrepreneurship itself cannot be taught; however, the strategic elements required for success can be taught. In fact, they must be taught. Otherwise, the true potential of the innate talent, creativity and aspiration for entrepreneurship will never be fully actualized."
Catherine developed the curriculum for the course taking into account her personal experiences founding her firm, Delcin Consulting Group and vicarious experiences accumulated over several years of consulting with small business owners. With strong views about the role of entrepreneurship to support our local economy, Catherine encourages anyone with an inclination to learn about strategies for success in entrepreneurship to register for the course.
The Entrepreneurship Bootcamp course will be taught in the Spring semester starting on April 17, 2013 at the Pleasant Hill Education Center. Students can register for the class at [http://www.mdusd.k12.ca.us/adulted/index.htm]
