Music Gems From The Vaults Of SRI

Los Angeles, CA (PressExposure) March 22, 2012 -- "The response to us adding classic recordings to our website has overwhelmingly positive we so dipped into our vaults for some great lost treasures", said Shelly Liebowitz, President of The SRI Label Group whose website, http://www.srirecords.com has become the hot destination on the web for baby boomers in search of the music they love.

One of these rare treasures Jerry Garcia And The Wildwood Boys. This is a live recording that took place prior to him forming The Grateful Dead and it is unusual since Jerry is playing banjo and the music is bluegrass and folk music. In that vein, they also added a live recording by the Jefferson Airplane. This performance took place shortly before they signed their recording contract and had their first hits. We do get to hear early live versions of some of those hits on this album.

They went deeper into their treasure trove for classic jazz albums by The Velvet Fog himself, Mel Torme' and the great vocalist Ruth Brown. Then they came up with a collection of duets by Judy Garland. On the Garland set Judy is joined by Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra with Dean Martin, Barbra Streisand, Peggy Lee, Lena Horne, Count Basie, Mel Torme', Liza Minnelli and others.

To round out this group of releases they added a great album by Country legend Hank Williams and a terrific compilation album from the 1980's called Rock And Roll Forever. This compilation contains songs by Roy Orbison, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Dale Hawkins. Carl Perkins, Etta James, Joe Tex and more. For the icing on the cake they came up with two surprise country albums by rock icon Tina Turner and jazz legend Sammy Davis Jr. Who knew that these giants ever recorded country albums and they are really good.

What makes this website special and unique is that on the SRI website (www.srirecords.com) they have a Jukebox where you can listen to full albums at no charge. It's a treat to be able to hear more than 30 second clips to know if you like something enough to want to purchase it. Here you can listen to as many as you like free of charge. As expected they do have a store where they sell song downloads and CDs.
