Studio City, CA (PressExposure) June 26, 2008 -- MyActingSite.com announced the launch of its brand new website today. The new site provides tons of Web 2.0 features for actors who need a website to promote themselves and launch their careers. The site will go live on June 23.
"This newest version of our product is one of the most exciting things we've ever done," said Eric Brownstone, CEO of Web Studios West, which owns the site. "We have created a tool by which actors can have professional looking websites that represent them well, without them spending thousands to get it done."
The new site enables actors to post their acting resume, demo reel of work they've done, and various professional photographs. These are key promotional tools for newer actors, as they need to create their image online.
The site also allows the actor to get his own domain name. Instead of having to work with a subdomain, or have the actor's name at the very end of a long domain, the actor can have his name simply be the domain name, which will be easy for casting agents and producers to find.
"We understand the difficulties that actors face," continued Brownstone. "We have provided this site as an affordable service, so that actors can get their personal promotion out and focus on their craft, instead of having to do a lot of technical work."
The site also offers a large repository of knowledge about acting. Subscribers can learn about the best ways to get agents and managers, who the best headshot photographers are, where the best acting schools are, and how to audition, amongst other data.
"New and experienced actors can come to our site, and in a short time they will have their own personal promotional site built. And while they are there, they get to learn the industry from working actors. This is exactly what every actor needs."
Early reaction to the site has been very strong. Many actors who have registered for the site indicate that the same services would have cost them thousands of dollars.
