As interest grew through word-of-mouth referrals and home party requests poured in, Ferro decided to broaden her exposure with the aide of the Internet. What was originally slated as a 2-month project turned into a year-long ordeal. First, she had to overhaul her brand image and business concept after her company's name changed from Naked Cosmetix to Ferro Cosmetics. Then a unfruitful business deal with an inexperienced design firm held up the progress of her website. The most devastating blow was a divorce that threatened the financial stability of her company and, more importantly, her family. But after the dust settled the determined entrepreneur managed to overcome it all, balancing life as a single parent while running a thriving business.

"Running a business while raising two young boys is definitely a challenge, but my sons are my driving force."

It's early morning and Ferro is running around, trying to get the boys ready for daycare as they managed to do what boys do best- taunt each other. No sooner than she tells Danny to stop messing with his younger brother a loud crash occurs, followed by Zeke's wailing.

"What is going on?" Ferro shouts from the next room over. "Didn't I tell you boys to stop that?" Like most single parents raising children, Ferro's rambunctious twosome can prove to be quite a handful. But she wouldn't have it any other way.

"Leading by example, I hope to teach them that anything is possible when you have goals and dreams. The sacrifices I have made are well worth it."

Prior to the official launch of FerroCosmetics.com in early November, Ferro participated in several gift bag donations that landed in the hands of national editors and celebrities. Her company was one of several eco-friendly skin care products distributed during the launch party for the Green Room, a design showcase featuring innovative, sustainable products exhibited at the New York Design Center. CSI: Miami actress Boti Bliss, singers Aubrey O'Day and D. Woods of Danity Kane, Paris Hilton look-alike impersonator Natalie Reid, actresses and models Fernanda Romero and Candace Kita, and DJ Shy were among those treated to Ferro Cosmetics at Thirteen Minutes Magazine's Remixed Release Party and Fashion Show in LA.
