He is specifically recognized as a speaker on the various aspects of the âMetabolic Syndromeâ, known as the âTerrible Quartetâ, which includes Diabetes, Hypertension, High Cholesterol and Obesity.
Dr. Gupta has received many medical research grants and actively participates in the latest clinical research in all areas of the âTerrible Quartetâ. He was elected as one of one hundred national physicians to join the Vascular Biology Group at the University of Florida to research the multiple effects of hypertension, high cholesterol and renal dialysis on the blood vessels of the body.
