San Diego, CA (PressExposure) August 27, 2006 -- Still haven't gotten to take piano lessons? The web site, quiescencemusic.com premiers "New Age Piano Made Easy," a free online mini-course for beginning adults that enables students to learn piano in their own homes.
Two lessons are available for free at http://www.quiescencemusic.com
The program is lead by Pianist/Composer Edward Weiss who offers lessons from a beginner's point of view. Students can learn improvisation and a special chord structure called the Open Position Chord that will have them making their own music in no time.
The mini-course enables students to work at their own pace and review the lessons for practice whenever necessary. Students can enjoy their privacy and learn in their free time, and can learn only the segments they want to learn. They can then sign up for the free monthly newsletter that expands on the lessons.
"I approach piano instruction from the level that I began at," Weiss explains. "I start from the beginning because I remember what it's like to be a beginner.
"As with many styles of music, the key to learning the New Age piano style is to listen to the people you like and admire."
The site also offers a question and answer forum that helps students learn from each other.
