Stratham, NH (PressExposure) February 20, 2013 -- New England Fenestration (http://www.newenglandfenestration.com) is proud to announce new additions to the Unilux brand of high quality windows and doors.
Unilux has added a new Design Line 0.7 aluminum clad window that features 48mm glazing with a insulated sash and frame that has the same U-value as the 40mm unit, but without the need for Krypton gas, thus reducing cost. The cladding on these triple pane windows is also cut back from the edge of the frame to allow better weather proofing during installation.
Unilux has also added a new Design Line 0.8 aluminum clad window that features an integrated shade which can be operated manually at the window, or via remote control. These triple pane windows are filled with argon for excellent U-Value.
Unilux is also offering optional concealed hinges on its tilt-turn triple pane windows and inswing and outswing doors. There is also a new side entry door that features "American" hardware setup that allows the handle lever to lock parallel to the floor. There is also a multipoint locking setup with this style door.
Unilux aluminum-wood windows and doors from Germany are engineered and crafted to the much more stringent European standards. They feature triple paned glazing, are constructed in wood and in aluminum clad exterior.
A typical double pane window has an American U-factor of .22. Typical Unilux aluminum clad, triple pane windows have a U-factor rating of .14 allowing them to exceed the extremely strict Passivehaus standard of .18. By way of comparison, a window with an American .14 U-factor is comparable to an R-rating of a wall at R-8.
