New Generation Publishing Launches Deadly Event by Jack Ferguson

London, United Kingdom (PressExposure) July 27, 2012 -- About the book:

David Martel retired early from the Special Boat Service to his home island of Guernsey looking forward to a life of relaxation, boating, the quaffing of lager on hot days and the occasional liaison with visiting lovelies.

A chance remark from an old friend in the Royal Guernsey Yacht Club changed all that.

He was soon tight roping between the wrong side of the law, an Al Qaeda super plot, a beautiful French agent - and his own conscience. Jack Ferguson's book travels from the Channel Islands to France, Mallorca. Monaco and Helmund Province and reveals the identity of a super agent responsible for the intelligence needed to plan 9/11 and other Al Qaeda atrocities.

The novel weaves a web of intrigue and horror, culminating in an act designed to devastate the European economy and kill thousands

About the Author:

John Neale writes under the name of Jack Ferguson. Born in the East End of London, he was educated at public schools in London and Guernsey and the University of Wales, where he read chemistry. He has lived in Guernsey for most of his life where he was a TV and then a newspaper journalist. He started writing Deadly Event 20-odd years ago, before the days of terrorism and Al Qaeda. After his wife died in 2000, he picked up the handwritten manuscript and altered it to incorporate the huge changes that have occurred in those years. He wove actual events reported in the Iraq war and elsewhere, and his experiences as an avid motor racing follower - and practitioner - into the exciting text. As well as a home in Guernsey, he and his late wife had a villa in the hills of Mallorca and then a 44ft yacht moored in a Palma marina. He runs a 40ft motor cruiser from St Peter Port and regularly visits France, Jersey and the neighbouring islands. He has no plans to write another book, Deadly Event is 'the one book that everyone has in them' as far as he is concerned.
