Los Angeles, CA (PressExposure) August 26, 2011 -- CFA's new appellate service works best for families with students in private four year colleges, who've had a change in life and financial circumstances and need to appeal a school's financial decision for this year and/or to set up the next year's financial package.
As the cost of college has doubled since 2000, the doors to advanced education are becoming closed to many qualified students and families based on cost. Our job is to help the future and current college students pay for college, prepare all forms, and provide full consultative services to best enable a student to go to college and for students and families best pay for it.
"For 23 years we have advocated for Main Streeters. With the cost of college doubling since 2000, fewer can afford full retail for private college. We are here to help make school affordable for families with students with financial need, special circumstances, or changes in life that have impacted the family. We file appeals, we fight for the student and their family," says CFA's Paul Young.
As well, CFA's ongoing job is to work closely with students and parents to prepare complete, accurate, properly documented financial aid forms and packages to secure need-based financial aid for the student year one and going forward. "With costs for college rising, few families can afford to send their kids off to obtain an advanced education without financial aid. We work with families to maximize financial aid packages. This can be a home-run for students that is both short and very long term. It is impossible to stress the importance of excellent and accurate FAFSA, CSS, school-specific applications," says Young, who has appeared on national and local media discussing Main Street money matters for many years.
"While the gamble may be getting into college, paying for it can be far more challenging," says College Financial Advocates executive, Paul Young. "Full, complete, accurate FAFSA and other forms can be critical to help make dreams of higher education a reality."
