New Imperial War Museum Skins Available To Personalise Your Laptop And iPhone

Heysham, Lancashire United Kingdom (PressExposure) November 09, 2011 -- Think Skins are delighted to announce an exciting new addition to their range of high quality skins for laptops, iPhones and hand-held gaming devices: They now hold the license to produce skins using Imperial War Museum owned images.

As the sole licensee holder for these products, Lancashire based ThinkSkins sell high quality Skins to customise and protect a wide range of consumer technology products, with a variety of designs to reflect the personality of the product's owner.

The Imperial War Museum range initially includes a Churchill ipad skin (with a Tommy gun), A classic spitfire scene, "the few" and the war slogan "Can I do without it". The skins will be available for the iPhone 4, Laptops and the iPad all from the ThinkSkins website.

The skins are made from 3M Controltac Plus graphic film, and are precision designed and cut to fit each item, to ensure the skin does not adversely affect the use or the performance of the item it is applied onto.

The owner of ThinkSkins, Grant Bodie, said "The Second World War is an era we should never forget and the chance to display such well known imagery on our products was one I was not going to turn down. For me these images are about patriotism and being proud of what our armed forces have done for us. It is just great to be able to offer these Museum gifts online"

The Imperial War Museum Licensing office said "IWM is very careful about the distribution of our licenses and we are delighted to be working with Thinkskins. We have a huge collection of wartime posters and proclamations that have resonance with modern times and it is good to see our iconic images working well across several leading edge devices."

Laptop Skins and iPhone skins protect their respective devices from scratches and scuffs as well as helping to personalise your technology.

About Imperial War Museum

Based in Heysham in Lancashire, Think Skins specialises in a range of branded and designer protective skins which help to keep laptops and iPhones looking good. The range may be seen on, and purchased from, the Think Skins website http://www.thinkskins.co.uk.

IWM (Imperial War Museums) tells the story of people who have lived, fought and died in conflicts involving Britain and the Commonwealth since the First World War.

Our unique Collections, made up of the everyday and the exceptional, reveal stories of people, places, ideas and events. Using these, we tell vivid personal stories and create powerful physical experiences across our five museums that reflect the realities of war as both a destructive and creative force. We challenge people to look at conflict from different perspectives, enriching their understanding of the causes, course and consequences of war and its impact on people's lives.

IWM's five branches are IWM London, IWM's flagship branch with six floors of exhibitions and displays; IWM North, housed in an iconic award-winning building designed by Daniel Libeskind; IWM Duxford, a world renowned aviation museum and Britain's best preserved wartime airfield; Churchill War Rooms, housed in Churchill's secret headquarters below Whitehall; and the Second World War cruiser HMS Belfast.
