Chicago, IL (PressExposure) July 16, 2014 -- Kym Sings the Standards with Style and Personality
Accomplished and experienced singer Kym Frankovelgia has chosen to live a life devoted to older generations. She has found so much joy in connecting with senior citizens through songs that take them to happier times. "Music is magic especially to senior citizens who suffer from memory loss," said Kym. "My shows return them to happier times. I give them smiles."
Kym Frankovelgia is now on Kickstarter, raising funds to keep herself performing for senior citizens around the country. "I am asking for support so I can spend less time on the phone begging for work and more time going out and singing the greatest music ever written to the greatest generation on the planet." In the past, she has performed more than 400 shows per year. Now she has been reduced to about 200 shows per year do to budget cuts in retirement homes. That's a lot of seniors who are now NOT seeing her shows.

"Every show I do with senior citizens results in tears," says Kym. "My hours go by in split seconds as we all reach back to beautiful memories."
Kym has international performing experience, both on land and on sea. She made a career of performing classic songs from the, 20's 30's and 40's in a variety of different venues on land and sea. She now caters to Senior Citizens, many of whom are veterans. She performed for the World War II Veterans of the Honor Flights program as they made their way to Washington DC to visit the memorial.
"My work is especially important to those who are suffering from Dementia and Alzheimer's," said Kym. "The sparkle and recognition in their eyes when a song is familiar is astounding and you can actually feel their hearts travel back to a better time, even if only for the hour we were together."
Rewards for backing this Kickstarter include personal shows and recordings of Kym Frankovelgia. This "human jukebox" kickstarter project seeks to bring joy to thousands of senior citizens around the country through professional live entertainment.
