Lake Havasu City, AZ (PressExposure) August 24, 2010 -- There is a new business park opening up in Havasu to accommodate the increase in companies relocating to the area. Lake Havasu City Agave Business Park also has a brand new resident: Astro Haven Enterprises. Astro Haven is a Southern California-based business that is relocating its offices and many of its staff to Lake Havasu to take advantage of the tax breaks offered by the city.

Astro Haven Enterprises specializes in fiberglass technology used in telescopes, radar tracking and domes. The bulk of their move will be in April 2011. Many of their staff will be relocating from Southern California to Lake Havasu as well, which will mean an increase in home sales, since they will need a place to live. Also, the company is expecting to be offering about 20 new positions to local residents when their operation gets up and running next Spring. They are very optimistic that they will be able to double that number within their first year here.

This company is just the first in what local government hopes will be many new businesses opening up in Lake Havasu City. It's a good economic indicator to see that businesses recognize how smart it is to operate in Lake Havasu City, adding value to the local economy that used to rely solely on tourism for its livelihood.
