Nahariya, Israel (PressExposure) March 21, 2007 -- Quality Mac Websites is a new Mac directory and blog that has reviews of websites, with a focus on the quality of the websites' content, writing and design. The blog is similar to a Mac directory since the websites are categorized and links are provided, but websites are included only if they meet certain criteria, such as accurate and useful information, original content, good quality writing that is free of grammatical errors, and good website design.
The directory/blog is the creation of Claire Rottenberg, author of Easy Guide ebooks for Mac OS X. Claire says she started the blog because "Sifting through all the Mac websites available today is a time-intensive effort, so I decided to create this blog to help other Mac users with that task. I want to provide a resource of quality websites that is easily accessible to Mac users."
Each website is reviewed thoroughly before being added to the directory. A posted review includes assessments of the website's content, the writing quality of the entries on the website and the design of the website. Creators of websites can submit their sites for review and possible inclusion in the directory, but the website must meet certain minimal requirements. Sites that merely reprint information from other sources, commercial sites or sites with distracting ads will not be reviewed. A site's information must be easy to read (clear language and clean web design), current, accurate, and useful to a wide audience of Mac users.
The blog just started with four reviews and it will be continually updated as new sites are found that meet the criteria of quality content, writing and design. Readers can view the new blog/directory at [http://quality-mac-websites.blogspot.com].
