North Charleston, South Carolina (PressExposure) March 09, 2010 -- Angels of Hope Ministries is an organization, currently seeking affiliation with a #501(c)(3) organization that is based in Modesto, California. Our mission is to point out a better way, and help our fellow "man" (or woman, whichever you are,) get out of a bad situation and into a better one. This is a local organization (which may, in the future, play host to a church gathering on a weekly basis).
There is a need - here, in the greater city, in the county, in the state, in the nation, on our continent, in our hemisphere... all over the world, - for actual change, for the better. It must start from within, and can only come from the people. Government can only go so far, before it becomes oppressive and counteractive to true change. Corporations have a knack of starting out for the best reasons, and developing into the worst conglomerates ever seen... forsaking their God and values for the power of the almighty Dollar. The people, and the people alone, are the true agent of change. God made all of us to be angels of hope to others, and that's what these meetings are about.
The first meeting takes place in Quarterman Park on April 1, 2010, at approximately 1:00 p.m. It is a coordinational meeting, to gather support for the two meetings to take place later in the month. Individuals who feel compelled to help, emissaries of agencies and government, non-profit representatives, businesspersons, and church leaders, are all encouraged to come attend this meeting. We will be discussing all that will be needed for the upcoming meetings of the month of April, and what can be used to make these all-important events work. We will need people to help market both separate meetings, food and cooking supplies, drinks, two notebooks and pens, business cards, reliable adults to look after children, games and activities for children, possible seating, cleaning supplies, transportation, a sound system, music of some kind - live or recorded, - a potential place for baptism of willing believers, and people willing to work together for the greater good.
The second meeting will take place Saturday, April 24, 2010, at approximately 10:00 a.m. This will be an evangelistic meeting, designed to help people see what the Way of Christ is really all about. At the end of that meeting, the plan is to take those who are willing believers to another near-by location, and baptize them into the Body of Christ.
The third meeting will take place that very next Sunday, April 25, 2010, at approximately 2:00 p.m. The plan is to have the people each express what their concerns are, and have local and regional authority figures then present their plans to address the concerns of the people. Toward the end of the event, there will be two notebooks: one for people to fill out their names and contact information, and their needs (in order of importance); and one for people to fill out their names and contact information, and the needs they can fulfill in any way (in order of convenience, if there is more than one need they can fulfill). The two lists will be matched together, so the person in need gets their need fulfilled as quickly and adequately as possible.
