London, England United Kingdom (PressExposure) April 04, 2011 -- Derek Lantin's new novel "Come Here...and I'll Show You" has been published for only 3 months, yet is already receiving rave reviews from international literary critics.
The new book has already received 12 top reviews on Amazon, plus reviews on literary sites such as 'Ezine', 'Lunch', 'The New Book Review' and the famous "Conversations Club" magazine. Famous American author, James Reasoner, also published a glowing review of "Come Here..." on his website, describing the book as "vintage hardboiled paperback original".
On Amazon alone, the book has received seven reviews with a top rating of 5-stars, four reviews awarding 4-stars and one of 3-stars.
Books by famous authors often receive numerous reviews on publication, but it is unusual for a novel by a relatively unknown author to gain such rapid acceptance.
Author Derek Lantin seems destined to soon be a household name as the book is heads towards the best-sellers lists. There are already rumours of a sequel being written and, as yet unconfirmed, stories about a film deal. Come here...and I'll Show You" is adventure novel that takes readers for a wild ride through the jungles of Laos and Cambodian, - and what a ride!
The action is continuous and the book is hard to put down. Get ready for fisticuffs, fire-fights, ambushes, exotic locations and a bevy of exotic Asian ladies. This is not a book for the faint-hearted.
The book is 'pulpish' and follows the best traditions of the vintage 'Pulp novels' by writers like Mickey Spillane and John MacDonald. The similes and metaphors are outrageous; the language is clipped and colloquial. The men are men and the women are darn glad of it. Needless to say, the women are fast and dangerous, and the hero is a two-fisted man of action.
"Come Here... and I'll Show You" is an adventure-thriller. The action is not graphic and the seduction all happens 'off the page' - although there is plenty to excite the imagination. The book is often amusing, often surprising and always entertaining.
The novel is available as an e-Book on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Google Books.
