New PR Firm, "Peace of the Pie" Aims to Help Businesses Get Ahead - In A Nice Way

Atlanta, GA (PressExposure) April 14, 2009 -- Peace of the Pie (P.O.P) announced today its mission to help Atlanta businesses partner with nonprofits for mutual benefit. The practice is known as Cause Marketing or CRM (Cause Related Marketing) and is not new," says Sharna Fulton, creative PR consultant and founder of P.O.P (

"What is new is that P.O.P. will have businesses knocking on the doors of nonprofits instead of vice versa," adds Fulton. "Businesses are in a unique position to attract marketing support from 501c3's as nonprofits compete for funds in a tightening economy. Cause marketing also aids commerce on the playing field of philanthropy. It's a communication tool that lets capitalists tell stakeholders they care about more than just selling stuff."

In addition to furthering social causes, CRM has been known to increase brand awareness. According to the recent 2008 Cone Cause Evolution Study, 79% of customers would likely switch from one brand to another if the other brand is associated with a good cause.

Peace of the Pie will work with businesses to find the appropriate nonprofit partnership, conceptualize and execute creative programs and finally, to get the word out about the important progress being made from the business/nonprofit partnership.
