Chatham, MA (PressExposure) December 15, 2009 -- ABClarke Coaching today announced a new, free program taking aim at the dismal success rate for New Years Resolutions.
RESOLVE 2010! from setting-and-achieving-goals.com will offer participants daily tips, techniques, motivation, inspiration and support for actually achieving the New Years Resolutions they make beginning this month and running through and including January 31, 2010.
âThe statistics are appalling and I know we can do betterâ, says Anne Clarke, Coach and Principal at ABClarke Coaching. âNearly half of all Americans make one or more New Years Resolutions but barely 1 out of 10 resolution makers achieve their goal.â In fact, nearly 25% of people making New Years Resolutions abandon them by the end of the first week of January. Fully half quit trying by the end of the month.
Beating the Obstacles with Support
âThe obstacles to achieving resolutions are well known. Most people donât have a game plan, meaning that right out of the starting gate they have no idea what they need to do. Lack of commitment and discipline, procrastination, poor time management and lack of support are also recurring problems,â says Clarke. RESOLVE 2010 will provide tactics and support to combat these issues.
âObviously each individual needs to do the work herself,â she explains. âBut our daily program message will guide them through making a resolution they can keep and getting off to a strong start working on it in January. Simple techniques consistently applied will create success. At the end of the program participants will have an action plan in place and be in the habit of working to fulfill that plan. In other words, they will be well positioned to achieve the resolution they made.â
A Community Approach
To create a fuller dialogue RESOLVE 2010 wonât be just a stream of messages. In the RESOLVE 2010 Forum participants can offer comments, ask questions, and seek support or suggestions on specific individual challenges. âPeople who explicitly make a resolution are ten times more likely to achieve their goals than people who donât,â says Clarke. âThe RESOLVE 2010 Forum, like every other part of the program, is designed to give our participants an easy way to do so and achieve success in the process.â
RESOLVE 2010! kicks off on December 20, 2009 and is completely free to everyone. Interested people may sign up at [http://www.setting-and-achieving-goals.com/NewYearsResolutions.html]
