Kolkata, India (PressExposure) February 20, 2015 -- There's some good news for all the kids who love to read storybooks. Story Time, the Kolkata-based book publishing and distribution company, has announced the Spring launch of 4 new books. The new arrivals promise double the fun, and are expected to become popular really quickly.
In an informal tete-a-tete, the head of Story Time shared the rationale behind the launch of the new books. For a fairly long time, she said, the company has been receiving requests for books with multiple stories. What's more, the single storybooks and the combo packs (listed on eBay India) have emerged as huge hits among people looking for good books for kids online. The worldwide popularity of the Story Time For Kids, a mobile storytelling app (iOS and Android) was also a factor, she mentioned.
This is the first time Story Time is going with storybooks with more than one story, and the company plans to take things slowly. In the first set, four new books will be launched, each of which would have two stories. 'Where Is Pooh's Pink Pajama' and 'The Pink Elephant' have been bundled together in one book, 'The Gift' has been paired with 'Goldilocks And The Three Bears', and 'The Smallest Potato' will come along with 'If I Were A Zookeeper'. Parents looking to buy books online for their children can also go for the lovely 'Hero' and 'Goodnight Sleep Tight' story combo. Plenty of new reading choices for the little ones!
Just like the present set of Story Time books, the new arrivals would also have plenty of interactive elements. From origami exercises and word puzzle challenges, to mask-making and treasure hunts, kids will loads of reasons to stay hooked to the books. The four books are currently in the final proof-reading stage, following which they will be sent for printing. It is being expected that the books would debut at popular online bookstores for kids by the third week of March.
Although Team Story Time is quietly confident of the success of the new books, nothing is being taken for granted. The response to the four books would be monitored closely, and if the sales figures are good enough - work would start on publishing books with more stories in them. According to the chief PR manager of Story Time Publications, there is every chance of a complete omnibus (with more than 35 stories) being launched by the end of this year. Kids would surely love that!
Competitive pricing, top-notch images and illustrations, and high quality of binding will be common features of the soon-to-be-launched storybooks. In addition, there are likely to be special introductory offers and other seasonal discounts. There is a general feel that there are not enough good reading materials for kids in India, and Story Time is certainly doing its bit to bridge this gap.
Along with bringing new storybooks for kids to the market, Story Time has plans to continue with its digital storytelling sessions at schools all across the country. Till date, representatives from the publication company has conducted such sessions at more than 60 primary schools and play schools, and more of the same are in the pipeline. Parents would also be invited at these events, and the many benefits of reading books for kids will be discussed. Brief demo sessions of the Story Time mobile app for kids will also feature in these sessions.
The trend of encouraging children to read books online is gaining in momentum around the globe. In India too, more and more parents are on the lookout for nice, engaging and informative books for kids. Story Time, with its catalog of classic fairytales and original short stories, is already a household name in many parts of the country - and the availability of more books would further boost the company's popularity.
