Sussex, United Kingdom (PressExposure) March 17, 2011 -- CountyClean Environmental Services has invested in an Aquavac Super Combination Unit, one of the most powerful vehicles available, which will enable staff to tackle even the most difficult cleaning jobs quickly and efficiently.
The pump on the vehicle is so powerful that it can collect liquid, sludge or fat in deep drains or sewers up to depths of 150 feet. The team can also use the powerful jetting system, which can reach up to 2,000 psi and produces 80 gallons of water a minute, to clean underground drains or sewers in record time. There is also a special boom to help access difficult areas.
One of the first customers to benefit from the new equipment was national leisure maintenance contractor Dalesauna Ltd who look after a Sussex health club. To ensure optimum swimming and spa pool water quality for the club members, as part of their regular maintenance programme, the company regularly changes the filtration media to the pool and spa filtration equipment.
Dalesauna staff would normally remove the old filter media by hand - a laborious process that would have taken two people a day to complete the work on each filter. Using the Aquavac, the CountyClean team was able to complete each filter in about an hour, saving time and money and, most importantly, allowing the pool and spa to be available for club members as quickly as possible with minimum down time.
CountyClean Commercial Director Darren Baldwin said: "We are really pleased that our new vehicle is enabling us to offer an even better service to customers. We think it's very important to keep investing in the latest equipment so we can provide customers with solutions to waste problems that are difficult for standard tankers to tackle. The Aquavac is a real asset to our fleet and means we are on site for a shorter length of time and that means shorter interruptions to our customers' operations."
The Aquavac can also be used for deep wet wells, ponds and lagoons, surface water and foul sewers, culverts, interceptors and wash down pits, pump stations, storage tanks and vessels as well as sewage treatment plants and digesters. It is particularly useful where tanks are difficult to access or a long distance from hard standing.
