New Website Offers Students A Better Way To Buy And Sell Textbooks

Lethbridge, Canada (PressExposure) October 04, 2012 -- is a new website that lets Canadian college and university students buy and sell their textbooks from one central site. The site was created by college students who understand the value of having one place to go to buy and sell textbooks. Buying discount textbooks and being able to sell unwanted textbooks are two very important issues for any college student given the cost of today's textbooks.

The owners of the site were frustrated at the process of selling books back to their universities. Eric Eklund recently stated, "We realized that we were getting the short end of the stick when it came to selling our books back to the School. We figured we could get more and at the same time help someone else out by selling it to a fellow student."

Visitors to the site will be greeted with a list of universities throughout Canada sorted by province. When they find the university that are interested in they simply click on that link and all of the textbooks being sold from that university appear on the screen. Each book is listed by subject and many have an image showing the actual book. The visitor can also search by school for the exact textbook they are looking for.

This website is important for students who spend thousands of dollars on textbooks. Students can buy a book cheaper than at a bookstore; also when it comes time to selling the textbook at the end of the semester, instead of using a middle man such as the university book buy back (who will give you $20-$30 for a used textbook) you can now cut out the middle man and sell your book much higher and keep more of the money in your own pocket.

This important new website lets students at the same university connect with each other and help each other find the best textbook deals available. Most importantly the service is free for any student and the owners of the site are constantly updating the site with new features based on student feedback. The site also allows visitors to advertise other things on the site including rental properties, electronics, furniture and many more categories that are important to college students.

Those interested in learning more about the website and the services offered, or who want to sign up can visit the website SoldByStudents is also on Facebook, and Twitter.
