Astoria, New York (PressExposure) May 02, 2011 -- Nick Verzosa and the Noble Union have spent an average of three nights each week on the road for the first four months of 2011. The growing popularity of this native Texan band has made them a regular fixture at well- known venues across the state. With their second single, Look Back To Texas, following in the footsteps of their first, Back When Love Was Easy, in its rise up both the Texas Music Chart and the Texas Regional Radio Report, the band finds its calendar expanding quickly.
Nick and the band are experiencing many of their dream concerts becoming a reality. The band performs regularly at the Austin mainstay listening room, The Saxon Pub. With growing crowds showing up their central Texas shows, the band was given a slot opening for Junior Brown at his recent Threadgill's performance.
"Playing on the famous Threadgill's stage with all the history that goes along with Armadillo World Headquarters and Kenny Threadgill was such an honor to begin with." said Nick, " But being able to share that stage with a legend like Junior Brown showed us once again how cool it is to be a part of the great Texas music scene."
In May, Nick and the band return to the studio with Walt Wilkins to complete the album that was started a year ago and tagged as The Smoking Gun EP. Updated versions of the original 5 songs from the EP and along 7 new songs will comprise the new album set for release through Indie Extreme/Fontana Distribution in late Sept 2011. To celebrate this milestone, the band will open for Walt Wilkins and the Mystiqueros at Gruene Hall on June 2, 2011.
Verzosa and his band, The Noble Union, will continue their road trips throughout the summer with upcoming shows opening for the likes of Jarrod Birmingham, Walt Wilkins & the Mystiqueros at Gruene Hall, and Mario Flores at Floores Country Store. Catch NVNU across the state this summer headlining shows at The White Elephant, Woody's Tavern, Love and War in Texas, The 50th Annual Stonewall Peach Jamboree, Old Coupland Dancehall and others across the state.
