The 401-room, recently renovated Singapore luxury hotel will turn off: 1. All public area lighting, replacing this with candlelight 2. All non-essential lighting in Back of House 3. All air-conditioning in Back of House 4. All outdoor neon lighting 5. The 401 outdoor balcony lights corresponding to each room
Guests will be asked to participate in the event also, and provided with torches in their rooms for this purpose.

The EC3 program makes a specialist team of consultants and managers, as well as environmental products, available to Novotel Clarke Quay.
The luxury Singapore hotel also recently created and made public their environmental policy, which includes initiatives related to energy efficiency and use of renewable energy, reduction of water consumption and water recycling, and recycling of waste.
