Las Vegas, Nevada (PressExposure) February 08, 2012 -- In May of 2010, Las Vegas Guitarist Robby LeBlanc weighed 360 pounds. He was diagnosed as Morbidly Obese and Type 2 Diabetic. In July 2010, during a concert performance at Red Rock Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, both his legs went numb due to diabetic neuropathy. In April 2011, Robby was featured in an 8 part series on the Oprah Winfrey Network, OWN, called "Addicted To Food". Since then, Robby has lost close to 80 pounds and has drastically improved his Diabetic A1C from 10.4 down to 4.6. Robby still has another 100 pounds to lose but he is on track. Now he is on a mission to fight diabetes and obesity. June 18, 2012 the Las Vegas Guitarist Robby LeBlanc will travel to Tanzania, Africa to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for charity. Robby LeBlanc started the website http://www.ClimbForCharity.com to be a resource for those that have diabetes and for those that are struggling with obesity. People who struggle with obesity and diabetes need to know their life is not over. A combination of diet and exercise can help control the challenges they may have with these diseases. This past year Robby LeBlanc has finished two half marathons, which are 13.1 miles and climbed Mt Charleston in Nevada two times. The diabetic neuropathy in Robby's legs, is significantly less and he can feel his toes for the first time in a few years.
