Newton, MA (PressExposure) April 10, 2012 -- Paid survey blog Online Surveys for Money hired a new writer this week in an attempt to increase the quality and quantity of their survey-focused content. The new writer, David Rawlings, reports that he hopes to bring a new voice to the site by providing more upbeat content than the site typically publishes.
Site founder and head Jason Jennings notes that the hire was mostly based on an increasing demand for content published at Online Surveys for Money: "In the last few months we've seen our visitors double. To meet the demands of this increased readership we have tried out best to publish unique and quality content on a regular basis. However, because we only have two writers on our regular staff, we had a difficult time meeting the content requirements that regular readers demand. After a long deliberation, we decided to put out an advertisement to let the world know we were looking to add a writer to our team."
Jennings state that the vetting process took much longer than he imagined. According to Jennings Online Surveys for Money received over 50 applicants in the first 24-hours after the opening was announced. However, he states that approximately 85% of the applicants lacked the writing experience they were looking for: "Of course, we were excited that so many people wanted to be involved at Online Surveys for Money. However, most of our applicants were new to blogging or hadn't had any particular experience writing about online jobs or online surveys. That's when we came across David's application, which immediately stood out. Unlike the other writers we had evaluated, David had previously written content about online surveys for money and knew the subject well. This was important to us because it meant that he could jump right in and start writing content for our hungry visitors."
Rawlings states that he wants to take his writing in a slightly different direction than Online Survey for Money readers may be used to, by incorporating humor and wit into articles and videos: "Although most readers report that they enjoy reading the content at Online Surveys for Money, one criticisms the site receives is that our content is a bit dry. That's why I've aim to pepper in some pizzazz into the writing when appropriate."
