The release of Xero Mobile means small business owners who use Xero web-based accounting software can now get management level business information on their Blackberry and Windows mobile devices. A version for iPhone and iPod Touch was released earlier this year.
Xero Founder and UK MD Hamish Edwards says that one of the online accounting system's most popular features is the dashboard presentation of management level information and cash flow details. This information is available in the Mobile version of the web-based accounting software.
"People might think that online accounting with Xero is about compliance and doing the numbers. That's only half the story. It's also about presenting real time financial data back to small businesspeople in way that makes sense and helps them manage their business better," he says.
