Toronto, Canada (PressExposure) June 13, 2009 -- The Allied Network is Ontarioâs premier dating service, with a membership base of over 18,000. The company has over 17 years experience in matching singles looking for a meaningful relationship, and has successfully matched thousands of couples. The Ontario Christian dating service provides answers to the dilemma faced by individuals looking for the right person. They recently conducted a survey to examine the traits people look for in a prospective mate, and found some amazing results.
The survey was based on a series of questions which required individuals to rank different characters on a scale of 1 to 10. According to Susan Dawson, Senior Consultant at The Allied Network âWe were interested in, once and for all, finding out what the biggest motivators are for attraction and the causes for rejection experienced by both men and women.â Interestingly, honesty emerged as the most important trait for both sexes.
The survey also uncovered many other interesting facts. It revealed that while women place an emphasis on financially stable men as prospective mates, men place a higher priority on physical attraction. The comprehensive study provides a broad framework which can help individuals to understand the traits that are of the greatest importance to both sexes.
The survey also brings to light a list of negative traits which can be a turn off for prospective dates. Bragging was seen as one of the biggest factors in driving away prospective dates. According to Dawson, âThe most appealing individual suddenly becomes unattractive when they begin to talk excessively about themselves. Self confidence is a welcome personality trait, but conceit clearly doesn't score points with the opposite sex.â Along with bragging, pessimism topped the list of negative traits.
The survey not only brings out the differences between men and women but also highlights the similarities that exist between them. According to Dawson, "Most of our clients are professionals who have specific ideas of the person they want to be with. With little time on their hands to search for the right person, they come to us for help in finding individuals who possess the qualities they are looking for.â The Allied Network is surely breaking new grounds with its innovative approach to dating.
