Karlskrona, Sweden (PressExposure) July 16, 2009 -- Outpost24, the Technology Leader in On-Demand Vulnerability Management solutions, today announced the release of a major update to its plug-and-play appliance for internal vulnerability assessment, HIAB.
Placed within the network, HIAB is able to successfully identify and manage vulnerabilities on all servers, workstations and other devices available from within the network. By using the built-in workflow tools, identified vulnerabilities can easily be delegated and later verified for successful remediation.
This recent update includes a new scan schedule module which provides users with greater flexibility in terms of conducting immediate ad-hoc scans, discovery scans to detect available targets in the network, as well as a feature to easily define an enterprise-wide scanning scheme to be applied on groups or individual targets in the network. Scans can be scheduled to run at a specific time, down to the minute, on either a one time basis or recurring basis.
Ron Perris, Chief Technology Officer Outpost24, stated "Scanning internal networks and managing the data it generates will be much easier for HIAB customers with our improved interface. With the new API improvements customers will be able to more easily integrate our solution to further maximize its value to the enterprise."
This release will also include a new and improved user interface. This new AJAX-based user interface will provide all users with a rich web-based client, including features which allow the user to filter and sort all fields in tables and also customize which fields should be visible based on the user's specific needs. The new intuitive user interface shortens the learning curve and provides users of all categories with the information and features they need at the click of the mouse.
