Barnaul, The Altay Territory Russian Federation (PressExposure) October 08, 2008 -- By the end of October 2008, PAVA will put into operation a new dampening unit. The equipment, produced by a large Italian company, will be installed on Rebrikha flour mill, one of the company's structural units in the Altay Territory. It is expected that the new system will create significant benefits - as was registered on Mikhailovsky and Achinsk flour mills, where similar equipment was already installed.
If the moisture level fluctuates, losses of productivity can reach 30 tonnes per day. As PAVA's specialists estimate, stabilization of moisture allows to increase the product outputs up to 957.6 tonnes a year which ensures cost cutting. Moreover, dampening of grain has a favourable impact on characteristics of flour, improving quality of gluten and whiteness.
PAVA started modernization programme in 2007 to support rapid business development, opening new production lines and expanding the existing ones. At that point, the company invested RUR 15 mln in the new complex for receiving and drying of grain on Rebrikha flour mill. This innovation led to the increase in the company's receiving capacity by 1,000 tonnes per day. In March, 2008 all production units of OJSC PAVA upgraded their grain-cleaning sections - up-to-date separators, scouring machines, aspiration channels, among other equipment, were installed. Results of the campaign increased the overall productivity of the enterprise, and the output of high-grade product in particular.
