New York, NY (PressExposure) May 27, 2010 -- In honor of Memorial Day, Paltalk, the leading real-time, video-based community with more than four million active members, will be teaming up with TV and radio personality, Diana Falzone, to keep deployed soldiers connected to their families.
Paltalk will kick off the holiday weekend with an event at the Ft. Irwin, CA Army base. Beginning at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, May 27, Diana Falzone will be at the base greeting soldiers and their families and giving away free year-long subscriptions of Paltalk's premium service. Additionally, beginning on May 27, anyone in the military with an active U.S. military e-mail address will be able to sign up for free for Paltalk's premium service.
"With families around the country celebrating Memorial Day together, it's important that we take a moment to think of the families that can't because their parents, husbands, wives, brothers or sisters are currently deployed somewhere else in the world," said Diana Falzone, spokesperson for Paltalk. "We at Paltalk are thankful and appreciative of the sacrifices made by the members of the U.S. Armed services. If we can take steps to keep military personnel connected with their families and friends by offering free memberships, then it's a token of our appreciation for their service."
Regardless of which network, browser or IM service a Paltalk user's colleagues, friends or family might use, they only need to remember that user's SuperIM URL to connect for a multimedia or multi-person video, audio or text chat, eliminating the need for additional software downloads.
Unlike other video chat providers that allow just six person video conversations at a time, Paltalk's SuperIM powers free video chats with up to 10 people at once. Paltalk is the only video chat technology with the ability to scale for any size chat rooms (one-to-one or thousands-to-thousands). Paltalk allows users to connect with friends or with people they do not know on a variety of platforms, including chat rooms, one-on-one video IMs and SuperIMs, the company's flagship instant messaging client that allows users to share video, audio and text with up to 10 people at any time for free.
