Paragon Sports To Conduct Training Run March 2 For Allstate Life Insurance(SM) New York 13.1 Marathon

New York, NY (PressExposure) February 27, 2013 -- With the annual Allstate Life Insurance(SM) New York 13.1 Marathon® just a month away, runners across the tri-state area can take advantage of a fun opportunity to kick their training into high gear when Paragon Sports hosts a 10-to-11-mile training run on Saturday, March 2, beginning at 9 a.m. The run will start at Paragon's flagship location at 867 Broadway (at 18th Street/North of Union Square) in Manhattan, N.Y..

Runners at various paces are all encouraged to attend. The training run includes a bag check, aid stations, pacers, post-run refreshments, a raffle for a Paragon Sports gift card, and more.

On Saturday, March 23, thousands of runners will make Flushing Meadows Corona Park the center of the New York road racing universe as the nationwide Allstate Life InsuranceSM 13.1 Marathon Series returns to the beautiful location for its fourth straight year. The event will be accompanied by the 5K race, providing opportunities for serious runners as well as newcomers to the sport to enjoy a fun-filled day in the shadows of the USTA National Tennis Center, New York Hall of Science, the Queens Wildlife Center and the Unisphere.

Race registration is currently open at http://www.131newyork.com. Fees for Allstate Life InsuranceSM 13.1 Marathon are $95 until March 17, and $110 walk-up and race week (March 18-23). For the 5K, fees are $25 until March 17, and $30 walk-up and race week.

The Allstate Life InsuranceSM New York 13.1 Marathon is the third race in the eight-city Marathon Series, which includes races in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles and Miami Beach.
