Bibra Lake, Australia (PressExposure) May 08, 2013 -- An initiative to provide a "one stop" training hub for businesses in Perth was the catalyst for Paraguard to reinvent its First Aid training courses. CEO Rob Bryant says,
"By establishing a new program at The Training Hub people can now choose a time that suits them best. It's an affordable option for small businesses as well as individuals. We actually looked at the First Aid market and saw there was a huge gap."
Many well known companies provide First Aid instruction. They all teach that CPR should be refreshed every 12 months as per the Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines. However, few providers actively promote that training. And unless skills are practiced regularly they are quickly forgotten.
Bryant also claims, "That's where Paraguard is making a difference. We deliver regular first aid refresher courses. People can train most days of the week, even on weekends. So if they need first aid qualifications for their job they can do so without taking time off work. Other types of training include Senior First Aid, Remote Locality First Aid and Safe manual Handling."
Another option helping people keep up to date with First Aid protocols is a website called FirstAidCoursesPerth.net. On it people can find videos, articles and advice that they can download for free. It's a developing site with a progressive mission. The aim is for people to have access to whatever resources they need to feel empowered in an emergency.
The site is useful for revision or study being undertaken with any First Aid training provider. That way if people need to be assessed for certification the preparation is much easier. Trainees have more time to learn the requirements.
An accident can happen at any time. Media recently covered an incident in a Perth supermarket where a choking baby was saved by a bystander while the helpless father ran around in panic. The deciding difference between the two was that the saviour had done a First Aid course.
Paraguard Training and Safety is a First Aid training company operating in Perth, Western Australia. It was founded by Rob Bryant who trained First Aid teams in the Navy for over 20 years. He now teaches First Aid to companies and the public, certifying people to nationally accredited standards. Paraguard runs courses at The Training Hub in Bibra Lake as well as travelling out to business premises.
