Orem, UT (PressExposure) October 09, 2011 -- Pinnacle Security, a leader in the North American home security market, today announced it will hold its Third Annual Charity Run in Rexburg, Idaho, Oct. 15 and Orem, Utah, Nov. 12. Proceeds will be donated to non-profit organizations Going Beyond Borders and Domes for Belize and will be used to build a new hospital facility in western Kenya and disaster-proof housing for families in Belize.
Pinnacle has already raised $11,000 so far through corporate partner sponsors including Zions Bank, Alarm.com and GE. Pinnacle is hoping to host 1,500 participants in the races, along with several hundred volunteers and spectators. The Rexburg race will feature a 5K walk/run and the Orem race will include two 1K walk/runs, a 5K and a 10K.
"We wanted to make the most significant impact possible, so we are calling on the public to join us and help reach our target of 1,500 runners. This would make our 2011 run the largest race in Pinnacle history and would provide wonderful support for these worthy causes," said Stuart Dean, Vice President of Corporate Communications for Pinnacle Security. "This will be a great event for families and communities to join in."
The Third Annual Charity Run is the latest philanthropic effort from the Pinnacle Security: Securing Hope initiative. Securing Hope is designed to provide support and aid to individuals and communities in need across the U.S. and around the world.
